back from italy!

hello and sorry for not posting in a while. i've been home for a couple of weeks now i think but i just couldn't bother writing here...

the morning we left from finland...
anyway i had a great time in italy! we went to this huge garden and castle and we visited two museums. one had dinosaurs and animals and the other had the famous ötzi! i was so excited to see him. his mummy/corpse/skeleton was in a cold and secured room and you could see him through a small window. it makes sense because he needs to be in certain temperature and obviously because he's so valuable hence they don't just want to put him out there for anyone to touch and break. he was really cool and you could see the shape of his face and his hands and feet were very well-preserved. there were also his clothes and equipment around to see. if you don't know who or what ötzi is (or was) he's a prehistoric human found frozen in the alps. he's very valuable historically and archaeologically because he's so well-preserved due to being frozen and scientists have learned so much about ötzi's time because of him.

it pretty much looked like this everywhere.
this is from the huge garden we visited.
and this one's from the museum that was full of dinosaur skeletons and animal replicas.
so tiny.

"haaaaaaaay!!"
i also visited celine's (the girl i went to see in the first place) school and met a lot of her friends. her friends and family were all very cool and nice. i was surprised at how comfortable i was the whole time i spent there. we watched movies and drew and went for walks. the weather was nice as well.

as i said in the last post, i had to come all the way home by myself. first i left in a taxi from celine's house and it took me all the way to munich's airport. there i found the check-in i was supposed to go to and i still had time before it opened. the check-in went quite well and after that i had to go through the security check. they wanted to take a closer look at my cameras but i didn't have any problems. i found my boarding gate quickly and then i just had to wait. some time before my plane was supposed to board i decided to check from one of those screens if my gate had changed and it had. i found my way to the right gate again very easily. the flight to riga wen't well but there my flight was delayed for an hour. i didn't mind that much though. the airport was very small so i found my gate easily. after we landed in finland i had to find my luggage and that was easy as well. then i just had to walk out and i saw my mum waiting for me. so overall the trip back home wen't surprisingly well and i'm quite proud of myself.

celine and i decided to stay as friends. the relationship just didn't feel right and that's okay. we're still going to be in touch and honestly it's better this way. i'm happy that we both felt the same way and no one got hurt.

so anyway i had a great time during this trip and i don't regret any of it. see you next week!
